TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Mediterraneo board of direction invite you to read carefully the following terms and conditions before starting the procedure of enrolment. You are invited to contact the director in case you should need extra info.

STUDENTS
Students must be 16 years of age or over.
All participants are considered without regard to race, colour, national origin, religion, sexual orientation and preference.
COURSES
Lessons are held from Monday to Friday.
Lessons are provided from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm.
Group courses require a minimum of 4 students.
Groups have an average of 4-6 students with a maximum of 12 during Summer.
The school reserves the right to cancel a group course if less than four students have enrolled.
Each group lesson consists of 55 minutes tuition.
Each individual lesson consists of 60 minutes tuition.
Each individual package must be used within a month.
Lessons not held during the Holidays are not reimbursed.

Lessons are not held during the time of closure of the school (please see the closing time's details in dates ).
PRICES
The price of the language courses includes only the tuition hours.
Text-books are not included.
The enrolment fee (€40,00) is valid for a year.
It includes
- The bank charges in case of payment by credit card or cheque.
- The school’s insurance policy
- Certificate of enrolment and attendance
- Testing
The price for the cooking lessons includes - beside the tuition hrs - the ingredients, an apron and the recipes.
REGISTRATION
In order to register is necessary to pay a deposit consisting of the 20% of the total cost of the course plus the enrolment fee (€40,00).
The registration has to be paid two weeks before the starting date of the course.
PAYMENT
Payments must be made in full 1 week before the commencement of the course.
A place cannot be reserved until payment is made.
Students who have paid the registration fee have to settle the payment one week before the starting date of the course.
Payment options:
- Credit card (Visa /Mastercard) at Mediterraneo's premises
- Cash directly to the director.
- Cheque (drawn on an Italian bank) to be received at least two weeks before the commencement of the course.

Please, arrange your bank transfer and send a copy by mail to info@mediterraneoschool.com of the transfer documents at least 2 weeks before the commencement of your course. Fax it to 339-(0) 6-4747955.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT YET ARRIVED
If more than four weeks' notice is given: all tuition will be re-funded. A €25,00 charge will be made to cover Mediterraneo expenses.
If less than a month notice is given: a 20% plus the enrolment fee will be retained by Mediterraneo.
A full refund will be given in the case of a refused entry VISA, but a €25,00 charge will be made by Mediterraneo to cover expenses. Official Proof of refusal from the Italian Authorities will be required.
For students who have started their course
No refund will be made on tuition fees. Students who wish to defer their programme may do so at no extra cost, within that academic year.
FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE ATTENDING COURSES
No refund will be given to students who begin group courses later than the official starting dates.
No refund will be given to students who leave group courses before the official ending dates.
No refund will be given to students who miss group classes.
No refund will be given to students who do not cancel the one to one tuition 24 hrs in advance.

IN ALL CASES REFUNDS WILL ONLY BE MADE TO THE INDIVIDUAL WHO PAID FOR THE COURSE. A 5% CHARGE WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM ALL CREDIT CARD REFUNDS.
ACCOMMODATION
The accomodation service is provided by our partner company "Domus
Romanae" run by Isabella Finestauri (www.domusromanae.it e www.my-rome.net).
Students are invited to contact the accommodation officer in order to be informed about the policy of payment and refunds.

Please note:
The accommodation will be normally available from the Sunday
before the course starts until the Saturday morning after it ends.
Students wishing to extend their accommodation after arrival at the school may do so by speaking to the accommodation officer.
Twin rooms are strictly for two people booking together for the same dates
Prices include linen service, gas, light, heating and water expenses, plus the use of kitchen facilities.
Prices can vary according to the area where the flats are located.
The rent should be given in local currency on arrival, directly to the landlady/landlord or to the accommodation officer.
Details of your accommodation will be given after the payment of the registration fee.
When you have your accommodation details
it is important to inform the family about the date and the
time of your arrival .
Students are recommended to book courses and accommodation as early as possible for the summer period to be sure of their reservation.
PICK UP SERVICE
Students are kindly requested to communicate the board of direction the date and time of their arrival. The director will communicate them to the driver who will wait for you at the airport with a board –with your name on it-on his hands.
Money should be given in local currency on arrival, directly to the driver.
